Are you a professional?
Are you a mum?
Are you constantly busy?
Are you starting a business or an entrepreneur?
Are you a doer?
Are you trying to do it all?
I have written about priorities in the past you can read about it here. I think, however, identifying when we are trying to do it all, we have too much on our plates, too many balls to juggle – whatever you want to call it. We don’t have space to even consider something different.
It is that sense of overwhelm, sometimes created by ourselves and sometimes imposed on us for whatever reason that we are in a perpetual cycle of doing. This constant doing can increase our likelihood of poor health.
How to deal with it is a whole other aspect, but the first step is to recognise it and admit it. There are many ways to then deal with it and these can range from prioritising to delegating, to saying no, even getting coaching or OT Coaching.
And it is mastering what we do, how we do it and why we do it that I find is most important to NOT doing it all.
