What are the predominant activities that we do at different stages of our lives?
We will review/discuss and venture into these areas and activities over a number of posts. We previously spoke about the Health Benefits of Doing and looked at how when we are focused on activities whether they are chosen, part of our normal habits and not really thought about, they can benefit or banish our health. Activities that we participate in change over our lifetime, so we can venture into different stages of life from babies through to the aged looking at different activities that are more likely to be participated in during particular times, and activities that are important to be of good quality during particular times to promote good health.
The different age groups include:
- babies
- toddlers
- children
- adolescents
- young adulthood
- adulthood
- middle age
- older adults
- aged
Think about these age groups (I haven’t included specific ages because I think some of these might mean different things to different people), and I want you to think about what age group you consider yourself or those close to you in and what are the activities you or they mostly do. Think about what activities they do habitually or by choice, even think about what activities they appear driven to do i.e. children – play. Also, consider what activities seem to promote health (make us feel good) and what activities affect health negatively (make us feel bad or make us sick).
Have a great day
